The Town Center corridor is finally catching up to the calendar
For years, "going out in Yorba Linda" meant Terra Wood-Fired Kitchen downtown, Oceans & Earth, a dedicated gluten-free spot from Chef Adam Navidi that regulars call "The Cheers of Yorba Linda," or a drive over to Anaheim Hills. The 2026 lineup of openings, tracked by the City in a June update, changes that math.

Karak House Coffee Co is bringing authentic Gulf-style karak chai, handcrafted specialty lattes, and fresh Middle Eastern desserts made daily near Imperial Highway and Bastanchury Road, which fills a gap most locals have complained about for a while: there was nowhere to get a genuinely distinctive afternoon coffee on that side of town.
Angelica's Table is getting ready to open at 18246 Imperial Hwy, with owners Israel and Delia Gonzalez targeting an opening around the beginning of April. It sits inside the Yorba Linda Station center, which puts it within walking distance of the Town Center loop.
The Winston's Club is Yorba Linda's new upscale cigar lounge and sports bar, featuring premium cigars, handcrafted cocktails, tasting events, weekend music, and plenty of TVs, at the former Plume Cigar location. That is a meaningful shift for a town that has never really had a "watch the game" destination beyond a handful of chain patios.
And for anyone who follows Terra Wood-Fired Kitchen closely, The Artisan is another creation from Terra Wood Fire Kitchen's owners: a specialty market, deli, and café currently under construction. If the ambition matches the original restaurant, this is the opening to watch.
One more thing on the horizon that is not food but is squarely aimed at families: Slick City, an all-new indoor action park, is on the way to Savi Ranch in early 2027, bringing dry slides, air courts, jumping zones, and fun for kids, teens, and adults. Not this summer, but worth mentally penciling in.
Sundays belong to Hurless Barton
The Concerts in the Park series is the through-line of a Yorba Linda summer, and the 2026 edition is worth actually showing up to instead of hearing about from a neighbor on Monday.
Sunday evenings at Hurless Barton Park feature free live music from 5:30 to 7 p.m., with a blanket or low-lawn chair recommended and food trucks or your own picnic for dinner. The food truck piece is the notable change: new for this year, there will be Food Trucks, which means you no longer have to choose between showing up early to claim grass and figuring out dinner.

- Alcohol is not allowed in the park, dogs are not recommended due to safety issues and the comfort of others in attendance, and use of bikes, e-bikes, scooters, and skateboards is not allowed during the concert.
- Hurless Barton is at 4601 Casa Loma Avenue, the same complex as the Community Center, so parking spills toward Casa Loma quickly. Plan to arrive by 5:15 if you want a spot within a reasonable walk.
For Saturdays, the parallel tradition is the movie series. Taste of Yorba Linda 2026 lands on Friday, July 31 at 6:00 p.m., at the Yorba Linda Community Center (4501 Park Avenue). The Fourth still runs the show
Even with everything else on the calendar, the Fourth of July Spectacular remains the anchor. On July 4, 2026, from 5 to 10 p.m., Daniel Bonte & The Bonafide will perform, followed by a 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular at 9 p.m., and the event can be enjoyed from Veterans Park or Yorba Linda Middle School.
The Veterans Park versus Yorba Linda Middle School split is the piece newer residents miss. If you have small kids or want to actually see the stage, Veterans Park is the play. If you want the fireworks without the crowd density, the Middle School lawn is the local secret that stopped being much of a secret about five years ago but still runs about half as packed as the main field.
How to actually use this summer
Here is a way to think about the season if you want to get out more without committing to a heavy plan:
- Pick one Sunday concert between now and mid-August and treat it as a standing appointment. Food trucks solve dinner, so it is a two-hour outing at most.
- Put July 31 in your calendar tonight. Taste of Yorba Linda tickets have historically sold through, and the VIP tier tends to go first.
- Try one new opening a month. Karak House for a mid-afternoon coffee run, Angelica's Table for a weeknight dinner, and The Winston's Club for a Saturday college football afternoon once fall arrives. Save The Artisan for whenever the construction wraps.
- Keep a Saturday open in August for a movie in the park with the kids. It is the lowest-effort summer memory on the list.
